    • Hi Scarlett,

There is no stipend offered for the summer program in Korea but correspondents will receive payments for the articles they write that are approved by MOU.

  1. I was wondering about the writing sample, what specifically are you looking for? For example, would you like an analytical paper on the general area of North Korea?

    • Hi Elizabeth. Your writing sample should be an academic paper that you believe represents your best writing skills. It doesn’t have to be directly about North Korea but it would be helpful if it was on a related topic.

  2. Hi, would you possibly know when we are supposed to receive a notification about whether we’ll be interviewed or not?

  3. Hi! we were supposed to email our decisions by 11:59PM, right? I just realized that the email did not specify whether it was at noon or midnight? I’m assuming it is alright as long as I reply to the email notification by the 16th.

  4. Hello,

I’m currently an undergraduate student studying in the U.S. with a keen interest in North Korean affairs, as well as larger issues regarding Korean reunification. Are there any other opportunities similar to this one that might be offered through the Ministry of Unification in the near future?

Thanks so much for your time!
